Located upstream of the scenic Beopheung Valley, ‘Welcome to Camp’ is a beautiful camping site nestled in the heart of nature. The name of the site is a refreshing invitation to all camp-lovers who wish to immerse themselves in the serene outdoors.
About the Campsite
Welcome to Camp is situated in Yeongwol, a region often referred to as the Mecca of camping in Korea. As you approach the site, a large signboard reading ‘Welcome to Paradise’ greets you at the river entrance. As you cross the bridge, you’ll find the Welcome to Camp on your left and Paradise Camp on your right.
These two campsites, while operated by different owners, share a common ethos in marketing and branding. They also cater to the needs of their customers by interchanging locations. This means that Welcome to Camp, which boasts excellent swimming pool facilities for children, and Paradise Camp, known for its beautiful valley and pine forest, share their respective features with each other.
A short stroll down the trail connected to the campsite will lead you to a beautiful valley where layers of smooth, broad rocks are piled up. Welcome to Camp is also famous for its various events. Activities such as releasing fish into the swimming pool for a bare-hand fishing experience and making traditional Korean rice cakes are regularly conducted. However, the relatively young and small trees in the area mean that shade is somewhat limited.
