Nestled at the base of Omokdae, Yedawon is a charming Hanok that opened its doors in December 2013. It effortlessly combines the timeless beauty of traditional Korean architecture with modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for all guests. The owner, who has a rich background in showcasing the wonders of Korean culture through traditional tea ceremonies and natural dying, constructed Yedawon as a cultural haven where visitors can fully immerse themselves in the essence of Hanok accommodations.

Conveniently situated just a minute away from Jeonjuhyangyo Confucian School and Jeonju Hanbyuk Culture Center, Yedawon offers easy access to some of Jeonju’s most esteemed landmarks. Just a short stroll across the Omokgyo Bridge outside the culture center, visitors will find the National Intangible Heritage Center, a treasure trove of Korea’s intangible cultural heritage. Additionally, notable attractions such as Gyenggijeon, Jeondong Catholic Cathedral, Omokgyo Bridge, and Nambu Market are all within comfortable walking distance from Yedawon.

Yedawon boasts six meticulously designed rooms, each named after a captivating flower. From the exposed rafters and crossbeams on the ceilings to the elegant Hanji wallpapers and captivating black-and-white drawings and Korean calligraphy adorning the walls, every detail has been carefully crafted to transport guests to a world of refined beauty. The Lotus Flower Room, in particular, features a folding screen adorned with a picturesque landscape painting and a striking black-and-white drawing.

What sets Yedawon apart is its commitment to providing guests with firsthand experiences of traditional Korean culture. Here, you can partake in activities such as traditional tea ceremonies, traditional dying, Hanji paper art, traditional desserts, and even indulge in the delectable flavors of a traditional flower pancake. These remarkable experiences are available for groups of four or more, with prices ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 won per person. Immerse yourself in the rich traditions and customs that have shaped Korea’s cultural heritage and create unforgettable memories to treasure.
