Welcome to The Hanok, a unique and enchanting hanok experience in the heart of Jeonju Hanok Village. As a tourist, you’re in for a treat as you step into a beautifully transformed traditional structure that seamlessly combines the old and the new.

Built in 1975, The Hanok boasts a large ‘ㄱ’-shaped bonchae, a sarangchae, a spacious courtyard, and a platform where you can find crocks of delicious sauces and condiments. With a limited number of guests allowed, you can be assured of a peaceful and relaxing stay in this expansive hanok.

One of the highlights of The Hanok is the special attention given to well-being construction materials. Each room is crafted with Hinoki cypress wood, red clay, and hanji, traditional Korean paper handmade from the mulberry tree. The anchae, or women’s quarters, feature four rooms, with the largest room called ‘Gwibin’ being perfect for two families. You’re in for a cozy treat with the ondol system, body massager, and two king-sized beds. ‘Eoulim’ offers an attic and a high ceiling, giving you a sense of spaciousness and charm. Both rooms come with two bathrooms, ensuring convenience and comfort.

The sarangchae, shaped like a ‘ㅡ’ and located opposite the courtyard, houses three guestrooms. ‘Byeolhana’ features a red clay bed with ondol heating, giving you a truly authentic experience. On the other hand, ‘Byeolset’ showcases a bunk bed made of wooden materials originally used in the construction of the house, adding a touch of history and tradition.

At The Hanok, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a ‘Moonlight tea meeting’ where you can enjoy tea and engaging conversations under the moonlit sky, in the serene ambiance of the large courtyard. It’s a perfect way to connect with fellow travelers and create lasting memories.

To ensure a seamless experience, reservations can be made by telephone. Our friendly staff is always ready to assist you and answer any questions you may have.
