Welcome to Soyang Hanok Stay, a charming retreat nestled in the heart of Wanju, South Korea. This unique accommodation offers a one-of-a-kind experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of traditional Korean hanok houses.
Soyang Hanok Stay is the result of a remarkable preservation effort. Three 180-year-old hanok houses, originally located in Gochang and Musan, were carefully transported to their current location in 2010. These houses underwent meticulous restoration by a master craftsman, ensuring that they still possess the authentic charm and beauty of traditional hanok architecture.

Seohyeondang boasts an ondol room with red clay walls and floors, complemented by a cozy tea ceremony space. Gahuidang features a comfortable bed and a luxurious cypress bathtub in the bathroom. Jewoldang offers a master bedroom, a second bedroom, and a living room with breathtaking views of the mountains. Huyeondang presents three rooms in a row, while Hyeondang offers two guest rooms, one with a veranda and the other with a push-up window for an open-air experience.
Each guest room is thoughtfully furnished with a luxury tea set and tea, ensuring that you can enjoy a serene tea time in the comfort of your own room. While cooking facilities are not available, electric kettles and mini refrigerators are provided for your convenience. The rooms are adorned with clean handmade cotton bedding, guaranteeing a restful night’s sleep. As a special treat, all guests are welcomed with a refreshing tea and a complementary breakfast to start their day.
