Welcome to Ri-in Mokpo Guesthouse, a foreigner-exclusive tourist urban guesthouse that offers a unique and immersive experience in the heart of Mokpo, South Korea. Situated just a 10-minute walk from Mokpo Station, our guesthouse is perfectly positioned at the foot of Yudalsan Mountain, providing a picturesque backdrop of nature’s beauty.
Completed in October 2019, Ri-in Mokpo Guesthouse is more than just a place to stay. Our name, Ri-in, embodies the concept of a virtuous village, reflecting our commitment to providing a warm and welcoming environment for all our guests. Our manager, an environmental activist with cultural anthropological knowledge, is passionate about sharing the ecological culture and natural wonders of Mokpo and its surrounding areas.
Our two-story building features three unique and comfortable rooms. Room 1, the largest of the three, is a self-contained unit with a spacious living room, traditional ondol rooms with under-the-floor heating, and an attic space. This room is the only one where you can enjoy cooking your own meals, and the attic offers a cozy space furnished with a comfortable sofa.
Rooms 2 and 3 each have their own distinctive features. Room 2 boasts a bedroom with a stunning window wall, allowing you to wake up to the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Room 3, on the other hand, offers an attic space that can accommodate one to two guests on the floor, providing a unique sleeping experience.
In addition to our comfortable accommodations, our guesthouse also doubles as a gallery, showcasing the works of Kim Soo-ho, a renowned member of Mokpo’s first generation of Western-style painters. You can explore his art in the hallway and common spaces, adding an artistic touch to your stay.
As a foreigner-exclusive guesthouse, Ri-in Mokpo is dedicated to providing a truly memorable experience for our international guests. Please note that our services are not available to Korean residents.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ri-in Mokpo Guesthouse, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, experience the rich cultural heritage of Mokpo, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
