Welcome to Nunnamujip, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Seoul that is sure to delight your taste buds and leave you craving for more. As a tourist, finding unique and authentic local dishes is always a priority, and Nunnamujip is here to deliver just that.

One of the highlights of this restaurant is their signature dish, the “Kimchi mari guksu”. Imagine a bowl of refreshing cold kimchi soup with noodles, topped with toasted laver, a boiled egg, and sesame. The combination of flavors is both invigorating and slightly spicy, making it a perfect dish to savor during your visit. If noodles aren’t your thing, fear not, as the “Kimchi mari bap” offers the same unique taste experience, but with rice instead.

But Nunnamujip doesn’t stop at kimchi dishes. Another must-try on their menu is the mouthwatering “Tteokgalbi”. These delicious grilled beef patties will surely satisfy your cravings for some hearty and flavorful meat.

While the main restaurant is located in the basement, it’s important to note that seating is limited, often resulting in lines during peak hours. However, there’s great news for those who prefer a more spacious setting. Nunnamujip recently opened a second franchise just across the street in a three-story building. The newer establishment boasts a modern and fancier interior design, providing a fresh and trendy atmosphere for you to enjoy your meal.

Now, let’s talk about how to get to Nunnamujip. If you’re using the subway, simply head to Anguk Station (Seoul Subway Line 3) and take Exit 1. From there, walk 100 meters and turn right onto the alleyway next to Pungmun Girl’s High School. Continue for 450 meters and then take a left onto the street next to Jeongdok Library. After 200 meters, you’ll reach Samcheon Police Office, where you should turn right and go straight for about 750 meters. And voila! Nunnamujip will be waiting for you on the right-hand side.

So, whether you’re a fan of kimchi or simply looking to experience the vibrant flavors of North Korean cuisine, Nunnamujip is the place to be. Prepare your taste buds for a culinary adventure that will leave you with memories to cherish.
