Gaesil Village, also known as the village of the Seonsan Kim clan, has a rich history dating back to the early Joseon period. Founded by the descendants of Kim Jong-jik, a prominent Korean Neo-Confucian scholar, the village is home to the head house of Kim Jong-jik and the old village school.
