At Lang Studio, you will find yourself immersed in the charm of traditional Korean culture. Our hanok style accommodation offers a spacious guestroom with all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable stay. With a capacity of 4 to 6 people, our tile-roofed hanok features a wooden door, white walls, and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Gaesil Village, also known as the village of the Seonsan Kim clan, has a rich history dating back to the early Joseon period. Founded by the descendants of Kim Jong-jik, a prominent Korean Neo-Confucian scholar, the village is home to the head house of Kim Jong-jik and the old village school. You can explore these historical sites and gain insight into Korea’s cultural heritage.

But Gaesil Village is not only known for its historical significance. It is also a place of natural beauty. Surrounded by the flower-covered Mt. Hwagaesan, a 350-year-old bamboo forest, and the breathtaking Jeopmubong Peak, the village is truly a sight to behold. With over 80% of traditional hanok buildings, you will feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

The efforts of the villagers to revitalize their community have not gone unnoticed. Gaesil Village was awarded the presidential citation at the Korea Rural Village Awards in 2011, recognizing their commitment to creating a beautiful and welcoming environment for both residents and visitors.

In addition to its cultural and natural attractions, Gaesil Village offers a wide range of hands-on experience programs. You can participate in activities such as collecting sweet potatoes and rice planting, learn about Korean traditional etiquette and tea ceremony, try your hand at kite making and straw handicrafts, and indulge in traditional food experiences like yeot and yugwa. There are also traditional games and outdoor activities like loach fishing and ice sledding to keep you entertained.

Lang Studio, as part of Gaesil Village, is a wonderful place to experience the beauty and warmth of Korean culture. With around 50-60,000 visitors every year, it is a popular destination that “blooms” in every season. We invite you to come and immerse yourself in the rich history and natural beauty of Gaesil Village at Lang Studio [Korea Quality] / 랑 스튜디오 [한국관광 품질인증]. We promise you an unforgettable experience.
