Determined to uplift her spirits and give her the opportunity to continue teaching, Mr. Kim embarked on a mission to create a museum that would not only bring joy to his wife but also offer hands-on educational programs.

In 1996, the Deokpojin Museum of Education opened its doors, showcasing a remarkable collection of materials lovingly gathered by the couple. The museum boasts a music class where Mrs. Lee’s pump organ takes center stage, allowing visitors to experience the joy of music education. Additionally, Mr. Kim’s collection of various school materials, including vintage book wrappers, nature textbooks from the 1960s, and nickel silver lunch boxes, provides a nostalgic glimpse into the past of Korean education.
