One of the highlights of your visit will be experiencing a reproduced mine, complete with a tunnel that uses the cold air from an actual closed mine. As you venture through this tunnel adorned with captivating photos on the walls, you’ll feel as though you’re descending 400 meters underground, truly immersing yourself in the coal mining process.
To reach the Boryeong Coal Museum, you can conveniently take an intercity bus to Boryeong Intercity Bus Terminal. From there, it’s just a short 5-minute walk to Daecheon Station. At the bus stop in front of Daecheon Station, you can board a bus bound for the museum. The buses operate from 6:50 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., departing every 40 minutes, with a travel time of approximately 20 minutes.
Our museum is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except during the winter season when the closing time is 5 p.m. Please note that we are closed on Mondays, so plan your visit accordingly.
