The campground is approximately 17 kilometers away from the Sangju City Hall. By car, one can reach the site by traversing through Samback-ro, Yeongnam First Road, and Chaeryeongsan Road in succession.
The campground is an automobile camping site, offering 52 spots for campers. The ground is covered with gravel, and each site measures 8m by 8m. The site accommodates both personal caravans and trailers, making it an ideal spot for those who prefer a bit more comfort in their camping experience. The campground operates year-round except for a three-month hiatus from November to February.
One of the distinguishing features of Sangju Umbrella Campground is its unique remodeling of an old school. It is also conveniently located near Sungjubong Natural Recreation Forest, Ssangyong Valley, and Janggak Waterfall, major tourist attractions in Mungyeong City.
