Flagpole Camping Ground: A Serene Nature-friendly Campsite
Set amidst the serene charm of the Korean countryside, the Flagpole Camping Ground, or 깃대 캠핑장 in Korean, is a tranquil haven for those seeking a peaceful retreat. Located in Maro-Myeon, Boeun-Gun, Chungbuk, it’s a perfect escape for campers who love to immerse themselves in nature.
The campsite is approximately 18km from the Boeun County Office, which is roughly a 40-minute drive. The journey to the site takes you through beautiful landscapes, with the Bocheongdae, Cheongsangwan-gi, and Sejungi-daero routes leading you straight to the campsite.
Upon setting foot in the campsite, you are immediately enveloped by the peaceful energy emanating from the lush surrounding forests. Thanks to the surrounding mountains, the site is incredibly nature-friendly. The proximity of the Bocheong Stream, which is a popular spot for fishing, attracts many visitors who wish to enjoy both camping and fishing.
The site boasts 21 general camping spots, all equipped with excellent drainage systems and built on non-damp pebble floors. Each site measures 5m by 8m. The Flagpole Camping Ground operates from spring to autumn, closing for the winter months from December to February. While personal caravans are not permitted, trailers are welcome.
