The Gyeongju Chou Auto Camping Ground, known in Korean as ‘경주초우오토캠핑장’, is located in the vicinity of Gyeongju city in Gyeongsangbuk-do province. This camping ground is well-known for its optimal location for sightseeing in Gyeongju city.

Introduction to the Campsite

Upon exiting the Gyeongbu Expressway Gyeongju IC and progressing on the National Route 7 in the Ulsan direction from the Gyeongju Museum intersection, a large tile-roofed house comes into view as you turn right at the ‘Cheonseon Temple’ stone sign and enter the agricultural road (Ttukbang Road). This place doubles as a camping site and an ‘Eoseongcho Farm’. Its popularity among foreigners as a guesthouse is also noteworthy. The campsite, which operates as an auto camping site while running the Eoseongcho Farm, is surrounded by farmland. The site is divided into zones A, B, and C, with a total of 41 auto camping sites. The biggest advantage of this place is its optimal location for exploring the famous tourist spots in Gyeongju, which attracts many visitors aiming for a touristic camping experience.

Within a short drive from the campsite, you will find numerous tourist attractions such as Gyeongju Museum (5 minutes by car), Anapji (5 minutes by car), Bulguksa (10 minutes by car), and Bomun Tourist Complex (10 minutes by car). It’s recommended to savor meals such as Tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties) or Sundubu (soft tofu) at Anapji or Bomun Tourist Complex, as there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the campsite.
