Starlight Camping Ground
The Starlight Camping Ground, or “밤별 캠핑장” in Korean, is a delightful auto-camping site that delivers an immersive experience satisfying all five senses. Located in Angseong-myeon, Chungju-si, in the North Chungcheong Province, it’s just about a 36km drive from the Chungju City Hall. A 45-minute drive via Chungwon-daero, northward, then via Angam-ro will lead you right to this nature-rich camping ground.
Location and Facilities
Starlight Camping Ground is easily accessible as it is adjacent to a main road. Thanks to its position nestled within a forest, it offers campers the opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of nature. The camping ground is furnished with 80 general camping sites, including 50 crushed stone sites, 30 deck sites, and 10 grass sites. It allows entry for personal trailers and caravans, charging the same usage fee as the camping site. The management office lends out reel lines, fireplaces, heaters, and dishes.
Amenities and Nearby Attractions
In the center of the camping ground, there’s a shop selling a variety of items including firewood, meat, organic chestnuts, disposable supplies, and snacks. The camping ground operates all year round, accepting reservations on-site and online in real-time. Nearby attractions include the Angseong carbonated hot spring known for its various health benefits, and the Gangcheon-ri stone Buddha statue from the Joseon Dynasty. There’s also a local restaurant, “오시며가시며”, known for its delicious Hanwoo (Korean beef) barbecue.
