Chestnut Forest Campsite
Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature at the Chestnut Forest Campsite (마로니에숲 캠핑장), a large-scale woodland campground located in front of the Jangchan Reservoir. This serene haven is conveniently situated in the Iwon-myeon region of Okcheon County, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, a mere 9km away from the Okcheon County Office.
Just a brief 10-minute drive to the east, via Samcheong 2-gil and Cheongpung-ro, will take you straight to this idyllic location. The campsite is nestled within a large forest, right at the front of Jangchan Reservoir, offering campers a chance to soak in the breathtaking landscape while enjoying their camping experience.
Experiences and Amenities
Nature lovers will find themselves entranced by the beautifully landscaped trees and a variety of flowers that add to the visual delight of the campsite. The campsite is committed to offering a variety of new experiences, such as harvesting activities, freshwater snails collection, and diffuser making.
The campsite features a vast space covered in grass, making it an ideal venue for banquets, parties, and club events. Forty individual campsites have been designed with a focus on providing a private camping experience. While personal trailers are allowed, caravans are not. Small dogs are allowed on the campsite under certain conditions.
They also offer a package where you can stay from 8 AM on Saturday to 3 PM on Sunday, with an additional fee of 10,000 won compared to the regular rate.
