Welcome to Gomseomnaru (곰섬나루)
Amidst the rustic beauty of Taean County in Chungcheongnam Province, situated at Anmyeon-daero 1610-27 (formerly, Shinon-ri 505), you will find a charming local treasure- Gomseomnaru restaurant. Gomseomnaru, meaning bear island wharf, gets its name from the unique shape of the island nearby that resembles a sleeping bear. The area surrounding our restaurant was once the only wharf from where locals could venture onto this island, enveloping the region with a warm and cozy community spirit.
Experience Authentic Local Cuisine
Renowned as the premier destination for a culinary journey in Taean, Gomseomnaru stands out as a farmer-run restaurant that creatively incorporates local Taean specialty produce into its hearty and soulful dishes.
Savoring the Flavors of the Sea
The highlight of our menu is the authentic and flavorful ‘Ganjang Gejang’ and ‘GeGukji’. Ganjang Gejang is a dish made by marinating fresh crabs in a specially brewed soy sauce mixed with sea staghorn, reflecting the ocean’s essence in every bite. GeGukji, on the other hand, features cabbage simmered in a soup made with aged crab soy sauce, offering a unique taste that lingers on your palate. The menu varies, but these two dishes are constant, promising a gastronomic delight with every visit.
