Located on the slopes of Jirisan, Stone Grassland or “돌풀마루” is a charming spot, surrounded by stone walls, where you can enjoy camping, glamping, and pensions all at once. From the entrance to the end, it is connected by a valley. In the valley, you can enjoy water play and also experience nature by observing the tadpoles, frogs, and mountain trout. Stone Grassland boasts beautiful scenery all year round.
Seasonal Beauty
In spring, the Cornelian cherry flowers bury themselves in a yellow flower cloud amidst the shimmering white snow waves of Manbokdae. In summer, clear water wraps around the valley, and in autumn, a wildflower feast is held, followed by five-color cockscomb and crimson autumn leaves, with red Cornelian cherry fruits spreading all over. Even in the winter snow, red Cornelian cherries shine. However, the largest Cornelian cherry flower festival in the country, which runs from mid-March to the end, is particularly recommended.
Local Cuisine
One of the other highlights of this place is the food. Traditional BBQ SET is sold, so you can enjoy the fun of a barbecue party. The barbecue facilities are installed on each village deck with specially made cauldron grills and can be used for free. In addition, a healthy breakfast using pesticide-free agricultural products grown in their own fields is sold, so it’s a good idea for those who want to eat natural food.
