Gapyeong Orange Camp
Located in the northern part of Gapyeong County in Gyeonggi Province, the Gapyeong Orange Camp offers a unique camping experience. Surrounded by Bukbae Mountain, Gadeok Mountain, and Chotdaebong Peak, this camping site offers a cool breeze that eliminates the need for air conditioning even during the hot summer months.
The campsite operates 22 sites (8m×8m) and 7 auto camping spots (6m×8m). The site is surrounded by forests, making it cool and pleasant even without turning on the air conditioner. The campsite also operates a swimming pool in the middle and offers discounted tickets to the nearby ‘Star Beach Water Park’ through a business partnership.
When I visited, there was a two-day fall camp for a certain company, and the site was able to accommodate up to 150 people at the same time without any difficulty. The camp also operates a large bungalow-style pension as a subsidiary facility. This facility has a second-floor bed and the room is spacious enough for small meetings.
The management building houses a store, public toilets, showers, and washstands, all of which are kept clean. The store sells various items necessary for camping, allowing you to cope with any preparation situation that can easily be neglected.
