100 Rice Village Hope Campground
Welcome to the delightful fishing village of 100 Rice Village, located in Seosin-myeon, Hwaseong-si, and known as the most famous among the fishing villages in Korea. The village got its name, 100 Rice Village, from the saying that it has a hundred different flavors, reflecting the diverse array of seafood you can catch here. The Hope Campground is situated right in this charming village.
Location and Features
Despite being part of a fishing village, the campground is not located near the Gamtu Island and the breakwater where most of the mudflat experiences occur. Instead, it is positioned a hundred meters uphill, in front of a fish farm. The campground has planted trees for shade, but they have not fully grown yet, making shade a bit scarce. Also, the breakwater is right next to the campground, which unfortunately means that you can’t directly enjoy the sea from the site. These are the few shortcomings that are yet to be improved.
