The Stream Mountain Valley Campground, or 수류산골야영장 in Korean, is an idyllic camping site brimming with unique experiences. Tucked away in the serene countryside near the Moaksan Provincial Park in Geumsan-ri, Kimje, Jeonbuk, this campground is a haven for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility.
Getting There
The campground is approximately 26km from Kimje City Hall, a journey that takes around 40 minutes by car. The route is straightforward, passing through Pungyo-ro, Seonbi-ro, and Suryu-ro. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted with a refreshing atmosphere thanks to the serene rural location.
The Campground
The campground is surrounded by mountains, providing spectacular views in every direction. It features 11 general camping sites, all made with crushed stones and measuring 3m by 5m. The campground also welcomes personal caravans and trailers for those who prefer a more comfortable camping experience. While it operates throughout the year, it only opens on weekends. Additionally, there are 4 pension guest rooms for those who prefer a more luxurious stay.
Experiences and Activities
Besides the beautiful natural surroundings, the campground offers a plethora of hands-on activities. Visitors can enjoy making mug cups, dyeing handkerchiefs with flowers, baking plum cookies, picking persimmons, making soaps, and crafting candles. Reservations for these activities can be made online or by phone.
