Muchangpo Solwon Campground
Experience the romantic charm of camping amidst a lush pine forest at the Muchangpo Solwon Campground. Positioned near the Muchangpo Beach in Ungcheon-eup, Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do, this site is a delightful escape for nature and Korean culture enthusiasts.
Getting There
Reach the site by exiting the West Coast Expressway at Muchangpo IC and entering the farm road at the entrance of Chungnam Fisheries Research Institute. A short 700m drive will lead you to the entrance of the campground. The entrance opens up to a wide pine forest with the camping site beautifully set up under the pines.
Facilities
The campground spans an area of approximately 10,500㎡ (around 3,000 pyeong). It houses 32 crushed stone sites suitable for auto camping and three wooden decks. Each site is equipped with electrical facilities. The campground also offers two washrooms each for men and women, one shower room each for both genders, and two water faucet spots. It operates a swimming pool during the summer and provides a trampoline for children’s enjoyment.
Additional Information
The campground remains closed during the winter season from November to February. Its proximity to Muchangpo Beach, Boryeong Coal Museum, and the National Ecology Center makes it ideal for combined tourism. There are no convenience stores in the area, but butane gas and firewood are sold at cost at the management office. The Muchangpo port, a three-minute drive or 15-minute walk from the campground, sells a variety of seafood. Restaurants and supermarkets are also located near Muchangpo Beach.
