Bear Island Campground: Embrace Romantic Camping by the Seaside
Bear Island Campground, named after the charming Bear Island, is nestled in Nam-myeon, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. Starting from the Taean County Office, take turns on Anmyeon-daero and Bear Island road, and you’ll arrive at this serene haven in approximately 30 minutes.
The campground is situated right next to Bear Island Beach, one of the notable tourist spots in Taean. If you choose a camping site close to the beach, you’ll be able to dip your toes in the refreshing sea water in just a few steps. The campground features 100 general camping sites; 80 of these are covered in crushed stones while 20 are deck-based. All sites measure the same – 6m wide and 8m long.
Amenities and Surroundings
The campground allows the use of a brazier, so you can enjoy a romantic campfire against the backdrop of the beach after sunset. The management office provides power reels for rent, and small dogs are allowed to accompany you. The campground operates all year round, excluding January and February.
Near the campground, you’ll find numerous attractions such as Seosan Birdland, Caribbean Resort, and Nature World. There are plenty of seafood restaurants in the vicinity, offering fresh and delectable catches of the day.
