The Sodo Camping Ground, nestled in an untarnished region, offers a close encounter with nature. This pristine location is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, promising serenity and tranquility.
Opened in May 2016, Sodo Camping Ground in Pocheon, is a place where you can enjoy both camping and glamping. Situated near the mountains and surrounded by abundant trees, it offers an outstanding natural environment. The dense trees on both sides of the campsite provide a cool shade, while fireflies and squirrels inhabiting the vicinity hint at the untouched purity of the area. There’s also a swimming pool continuously filled with stream water and built from cypress trees.
One of the unique features of this campsite is its eco-friendly approach. They operate a vegetable garden within the campsite, where you can freely pick lettuce, potatoes, corn, and peppers as needed. Furthermore, the campsite is home to a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, and chicks. The chicks are particularly fascinating to children, as they’re not just the typical yellow ones but also black, grey, and spotted ones.
Beyond just offering discounts, Sodo Camping Ground regularly recruits overnight guests and also arranges seasonal events. These include Halloween pumpkin porridge in October, Kimjang Bossam in November, Dongji Red Bean Porridge Santa in December, Rice Cake Soup Wish Event in January, and Lunar New Year Yutnori Jegichagi in February.
