The Pocheon Valley Campsite is a refurbished version of the former Idong amusement park. One of the major attractions of this campsite is the Yaksa Valley located right next to it, an ideal place to beat the summer heat. Unlike other valleys, instead of dirt, it has a clean sandy gravel bottom, so even when stirring the water, no muddy water arises. Each grain of sand in the water shines like a mirror, creating a clear and transparent view.
Along with playing in the water, you can also catch fish using an aquarium or a mini fishing rod. Despite being a valley in the mountains, there are hardly any mosquitoes, which is a significant advantage. If you want to avoid the heat, there are plenty of tree shades where you can rest under, protecting you from the scorching sun. Especially around 3-4 pm, the shade reaches its peak, so there is no need for additional shading.
Another advantage of this campsite is the well-designed site layout. The sites are expansive and arranged in a row, not facing each other, thus respecting your privacy. Please note that the entire campsite area is a non-smoking zone. Although there is no worry about secondhand smoke, smokers should take this into account before visiting.
