Mr. Woong’s Camping Ground
Immerse yourself in the diverse and exciting world of Mr. Woong’s Camping Ground, nestled in the foothills of Chuweolsan Mountain.
A Brief Overview
Mr. Woong’s Camping Ground is strategically located at the foot of Chuweolsan Mountain and offers both an auto camping ground and glamping facilities. It also operates a traditional Korean guesthouse, Daebangtteurak, just below the mountain. Established in 2013, the campsite spans a substantial area of 10,000㎡, an impressive size for a privately-owned camping ground. The camping sites are far from monotonous, with a diverse range of sizes, types, and uses available. From individual sites arranged in a stair-like pattern to family sites, visitors can choose the site that suits their preferences. Note that the campsite is closed during the dead of winter, so make sure to inquire before visiting.
More Than Just Camping
Apart from camping, there are other exciting activities to enjoy at Mr. Woong’s Camping Ground. The campsite houses a rest building with Wi-Fi, where you can relax on the outdoor terrace, sip a cup of coffee, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. Also, you can take a trip down memory lane with three retro arcade games that used to be at the entrance of old elementary schools. The campsite also hosts a pottery breeding ground—don’t miss out on a visit with your kids. The animals there are friendly and won’t shy away from being fed grass or carrots. Additionally, there is a 700-meter-long footpath around the camping ground, perfect for those who want to take in some fresh air and enjoy a leisurely walk.
