Introduction
Roe Deer Valley Glamping Site is located at an altitude of 450m within the Roe Deer Valley Natural Resort, situated at the southern central end of Baekunsan Mountain. ‘Roe Deer’ in the Jeolla dialect means ‘gazelle’, and the name ‘Roe Deer Valley’ was given because the ridge here is gentle like the back of a gazelle. The campground boasts of clear air from highlands, cypress trees, and the refreshing scent of phytoncides. Well-maintained trees, including fragrant trees, are scattered everywhere, allowing campers to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The camping site is located within the Roe Deer Valley Natural Resort. After parking your car on the mountain, you need to take a slow bus to reach the location. Upon arrival, you are greeted by about 40 glamping sites. All necessary facilities like kitchen tools, heating and cooling facilities, showers, and toilets are equipped inside the camping site for convenience.
The view from the Roe Deer Valley observatory is beautiful both day and night. During the day, you can overlook Gwangyang Steelworks, Gwangyang Port, Mangdeok Harbor, and Yeosu Industrial Complex to the south, and 700 li of Seomjin River, Hadong City in Gyeongsangnam-do, and Cheonwangbong of Jirisan to the northeast. At night, over 1.43 million LED bulbs light up, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular night view of the trees full of lights and various sculptures.
