Hong Gildong Theme Park Campsite
Experience the courage of the legendary Hong Gildong at the Hong Gildong Theme Park Campsite. This campsite, nestled within the theme park, is just a 30-minute drive from Gwangju. Managed directly by Jangseong County, the facilities are overall clean and well-organized.
The campsite has a vast area of 230,000㎡ and is equipped with various facilities. With a deck-side table, you can relaxingly use the space, and kids will love the spacious lawn. You can also stroll around the adjacent Hong Gildong Theme Park. In front of the parking lot, there’s a beautifully decorated traditional Korean house, Cheongbaekdang. The campsite also includes an animal farm with chickens, ducks, and other animals that children will love. The hidden gem of this place is the observatory, from where you can overlook the entire theme park.
The maximum capacity of Hong Gildong Theme Park Campsite is 180 people, and reservations can be made two weeks in advance. The deck usage fee is a very affordable 5,000 won per night, and for those who didn’t prepare a tent, you can rent one for 10,000 won.
