Introduction
Located in Dongmyeong-myeon, Chilgok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, the Gasan Mountain Fortress Campground is about 30 km from the Chilgok County Office. It takes approximately 45 minutes by car, via Hoguk-ro, Gyeongbuk-daero, and Hanti-ro. This campground is operated by the local government and all facilities are maintained in neat conditions. Although there are no electricity, Wi-Fi, or hot water, the absence of these amenities enhances the natural camping experience. The campground itself is so beautiful it can be seen as a walking trail. Every step you take, you can feel the refreshing energy of the forest.
The campground offers 200 general camping sites with four different sizes: 4.5m x 7m, 3.5m x 5m, 3m x 5m, and 3m x 4.1m. It operates all week, except for the annual break from December to February of the following year. A wealth of tourist attractions such as Chisan Tourist Site, Palgong Mountain Provincial Park, and Blue Day Botanic Garden are located nearby. There are also many restaurants around Palgong Mountain, allowing you to enjoy gastronomic delights.
