Unilam Banilam Tourist Site Campground: A Night in Nature’s Sculpture
The Unilam Banilam Tourist Site Campground, located at the foot of Unjang Mountain, is a camping site managed by Jinan County. The name originates from the past when there was no path on the cliff, and only the sky, stones, trees, and passing clouds were present, hence the name Unilam. The name Banilam comes from the deep valley where sunlight is seen only half a day. The campground is divided into the upper campground, the lower campground, and a few campgrounds around the valley.
The valley here boasts an undamaged beautiful natural environment and is rarely visited by people. Especially when you climb up to the pavilion in the upper stream and view the scenery of the valley, it gives you the illusion of becoming a hermit. Large and small waterfalls and cliffs are situated everywhere, and the big rocks along the valley and cliffs that seem to be carved out naturally make you exclaim in admiration.
Not only families but also group tourists including clubs visit here a lot, because there are convenient facilities such as a valley walking path and a rainbow bridge that are popular among visitors. The flower of Unilam Banilam is the valley, and there are safe stairs to access the valley everywhere. There is a dam in the middle of the valley, making it a great environment for water play in summer. The depth is shallow, so children can play without burden, and the water is clear, so you can also catch tadpoles.
