A Quick Introduction
Cheongwansan is a mountain with the name meaning a crown of the emperor, which seems to pierce the sky with dozens of peaks of 723m height, and it is one of the five famous mountains in Honam. In spring, the bright red camellia flowers and in autumn, the widely spread silver grass create a spectacular view. As a place famous for camellia flowers, you can enjoy a unique landscape during the camellia season. Moreover, if you climb along the hiking trail, you can admire the strange stones with the background of the Dado Sea.
Camping at Cheongwansan
The camping site, where you can camp with the mountain as a friend, has a large area of 15,200 pyeong and 20 general campsites. A total of 20 camping decks are located in different positions, allowing for spacious camping. In addition, campsites 101~106 and 110~114 are laid with crushed stones on flat ground, making them suitable for camping, while the remaining camping decks are located on slightly sloping ground, recommending the use of simple dome-shaped tents.
