The Pine Valley Swimming Pool Campsite, or Bainbaelli Suyeongjang Kaempingjang as it’s locally known, is a peaceful retreat nestled in the heart of nature. Located in Jeongan-myeon, Gongju City, Chungnam, this campsite is the perfect blend of tranquility and recreation.

Getting There

From Gongju City Hall, the campsite is approximately 14km away. A short 20-minute car ride via Baekje’s Big Road, Charyeong Road, and Hwabong Pyeongjeong Road will get you there. Thanks to its location in the midst of expansive mountains, visitors can truly immerse themselves in nature and enjoy a relaxing getaway.

Amenities

The Pine Valley Swimming Pool Campsite boasts 41 crushed stone general camping sites, 3 caravans, and 2 glamping sites. The camping sites vary in size, with 7 sites measuring 7m by 8m and 34 sites measuring 8m by 9m. There are facilities for a fireplace and electricity. Personal trailers and caravans can enter, with mid-range 500-class caravans permitted. However, low-garage cars are not allowed. The campsite operates year-round, and reservations are only accepted in real-time online. Leashed pets are welcome to accompany their owners.

Surrounding the campsite are numerous tourist attractions including Gomanaru, Gongju Gongsanseong, and Magoksa. The region is also well-known for its delicious stone bibimbap served at the Gomanaru Stone Bibimbap restaurant. There are plenty of activities to indulge in such as water sports in the summer, leaf-peeping in the fall, and walking trails throughout the year.
