Introduction
Spread across an area of 2000㎡, the Squirrel Rest Area features various sizes of pension rooms in addition to 15 auto-camping sites. All sites are made of crushed stone, an advantage that reduces dust dispersal. Each campsite is equipped with electricity and a fire extinguisher. The common facilities, including the bathrooms and showers, are well-maintained, with hot water readily available and a three-tiered chest of drawers for storing clothes. After 23:00, it’s quiet time, ensuring a peaceful sleep for everyone.
Close to the camping site, the clear waters of Unjoo Valley flow, offering a magnificent view to the campers. Behind the campground, mountains provide a cool and refreshing environment. The valley is not very deep, making it safe for children to play. The valley water is of the highest quality, and you can even catch marsh snails. There’s also a spacious yard within the camping site and a perilla leaf garden maintained by the owner. You can enjoy the aromatic scent of perilla leaves while camping. Surrounded by chestnut and persimmon trees, the area is rich in acorns, making it a common sight to see squirrels, living up to its name.
