Hangdo Camping Site
Introduction
Hangdo Camping Site, located in Songjeong-ri, Mijo-myeon, Namhae-gun, promises a unique camping experience. Nestled against the scenic backdrop of Hangdo Mongdol Beach, it offers the dual pleasure of a tranquil camping experience and the exhilarating fun of a beach vacation. Hangdo got its name from the narrow sea path that appears during low tide, connecting the village and the island like a neck.
Details
The camping site features a clear and transparent sea and is located in a pine forest along the beach. It offers deck sites and bungalows, with a site fee of KRW 30,000 per night, excluding electricity charges. Shared toilets are available, as well as a shower facility, with a charge of KRW 2,000 for adults and KRW 1,000 for children. Do note the narrow village entrance when moving around.
With an on-site experience center, it also serves as an excellent learning spot for children. When night falls, beautifully lit breakwaters add to the charm. Take a leisurely stroll along the breakwater, and you’ll come across a viewing deck. Here, as you gaze out at the sea, you’ll be mesmerized by the sound of the waves hitting the pebbles. The beach, not too deep, is perfect for swimming. With nearby small islands, tidal flats, underwater caves, and more, it’s a popular camping site with much to see and do.
