People’s Unmun Mountain Natural Recreation Forest Campsite
Immerse yourself in nature in the midst of Unmun Mountain. The People’s Unmun Mountain Natural Recreation Forest Campsite is located in Unmun, Cheongdo County, Gyeongbuk. It is about 47km from the Cheongdo County Office and can be reached via Cheongmae-ro, Cheongrye-ro, and Unmun-ro. The drive takes approximately 70 minutes. The campsite is easily accessible as it is adjacent to the road and offers an eco-friendly camping experience thanks to its setting in the heart of the forest.
The campsite has prepared 34 general campsites made of deck. The size of the site is 3.6m width x 3.6m length (16 sites) and 3.6m width x 3m length (18 sites). Thanks to the planting of trees around the site, there is ample shade, making camping during the hot summer months no problem at all. Fire pits and electricity are available, but during fire caution periods, fire pits cannot be used. The campsite operates in spring, summer, and autumn, and reservations can be made in person or online in real time.
In the vicinity of the campsite, there are plenty of tourist attractions such as Gajisan Hot Springs and Cheongdo Bullfighting Stadium. There’s also a restaurant called “Mountain Lovers” where you can enjoy dishes like Dak Baeksuk (boiled chicken soup) and Duck Bulgogi (grilled duck).
