Chu-dong Camp
Imagine the serenity of camping amidst a dense forest of pine and deciduous trees. Welcome to Chu-dong Camp, a haven not far from Seoul, located in Changsu-myeon, Pocheon. Known for its tall, straight pine trees, this campsite offers campers a unique experience of leisure and relaxation while soaking in the health benefits of phytoncides naturally emitted by the surrounding trees.
Facilities and Environment
Thanks to the lush trees, the campsite is famous for its abundant natural shade. The campsite is designed in a stair-step manner making it easy for water drainage. Each camping site is well-distanced from each other, ensuring a hassle-free and comfortable stay. To add to the convenience, power distribution boxes and fire extinguishers are installed at various points across the camp. Sites without power boxes use extension cords for power supply.
Activities and Attraction
The campsite also houses a mini-farm, where rabbits and chickens are raised, a feature that children are particularly fond of as they get to feed the animals. There is also a grassy sports field suitable for soccer, baseball, and other outdoor activities. Indoor amenities include a mini billiard hall, table tennis, piano, drums, and a sand playground. The restrooms are child-friendly with mini-toilets installed for the little ones. Personal trailers and caravans are allowed on the site.
