The campsite is situated along one of the most beautifully conserved rivers in Korea, Donggang, which flows a remarkable 65km from Gasuree in Jeongseon, passing through the scenic villages of Woonchiri, Jejang, and Yeonpo. The unique feature of Donggang is the formation of countless deep pools that resemble bodies of standing water, caused by its curved flow pattern dictated by the mountainous terrain of Baekdu Daegan.
Among the picturesque settings along Donggang, the area surrounding Goseong Mountain Fortress and Yeonpo Village stands out as the most exceptional. The Donggang Viewpoint Auto Camping Ground is ideally positioned in this region, presenting a breathtaking view of the mountainous landscape and the winding river. Situated at an altitude of 600m, the campsite offers an unparalleled vista of mountains, clouds and the winding river below.
