The Independence Memorial Hall Camping Site, located in Dongnam-gu, Cheonan City, South Chungcheong Province, is a neat camping ground with distinct features depending on the area. Approximately 22 km away from Cheonan City Hall, it takes around 40 minutes to reach the site by car through City Hall Road, South Road, and Chungjeol Road. What’s unique about this campsite is its location within the Independence Memorial Hall, allowing visitors to explore the memorial while enjoying their camping experience.
Distinctive Sections of the Camping Site
The camping site is divided into four sections. The Daehan section has 44 sites and allows the entry of caravans. The Independence section, with 20 sites, is adjacent to an ecological pond and a lush grove, making it ideal for leisurely walks. The Unification section, with a total of 23 sites, unfolds against the backdrop of a pine forest. The Manse section is the only section made of deck in the camping site. Located inside the pine forest, this section does not permit the use of a fireplace and vehicle entry. However, its greatest advantage lies in providing a natural shade, perfect for enjoying camping during the hot summer.
