The observatory also pays tribute to the queen of King Suro, Heo Hwang-ok, who is said to have traveled to the Garak Kingdom from the Indian country of Ayuta by following the stars. The connection between the stars and the history of the Garak Kingdom is deeply rooted in the culture of Gimhae.
Discovering the Ancient Kingdom of Gaya
