In 1574, Jeongyodang Lecture Hall (Treasure No. 210) was constructed to house the relocated tablet, and with the addition of neighboring buildings, the area transformed into a seowon, a Confucian academy.
In recognition of its significance, Dosanseowon was granted a royal charter and bestowed the name Dosanseowon in 1575. The prestigious Confucian academy became the headquarters for Confucian teachings in the Yeongnam region, attracting scholars from far and wide to study and engage in intellectual discourse.
