To honor his remarkable achievements, the governor of Danyang named this iconic rock Sainam during the Joseon Dynasty.

Getting to Sainam Rock is a breeze, thanks to the well-connected transportation network. From Dong Seoul Bus Terminal or Central City Terminal, hop on an express bus bound for Danyang Bus Terminal. Once you arrive, cross the street and catch a local bus heading towards Gosudaegyo Bridge and Banggok (Danseong).
When you reach Danyang Danuri Center, continue walking in the same direction until you arrive at Jikteogyo Bridge. Take a left turn and walk for approximately 577 meters from the bus stop to reach the awe-inspiring Sainam Rock.
