Daegaya Camp Town: A Fortress Enclosed by Mountains
Situated in Unsuumyeon, Goryeong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Daegaya Camp Town is a fortress-like auto camping site nestled amidst the mountains. Just 10 kilometers from Goryeong County Hall, you can reach it by driving through Daegaya, Gaya, and Unyong-ro in succession. The ride will approximately take around 20 minutes. As you step into the campsite, you’ll be mesmerized by the mountains enclosing the site, giving the illusion of being in a fortress.
The campsite stretches across six areas, comprising 38 individual sites. The ground is laden with crushed stones, and each site measures 6 meters in width and 8 meters in length. While personal caravans and trailers are allowed, there might be restrictions based on the model, so prior confirmation is necessary.
The campsite features separate restrooms and showers for men and women, each in two locations. There are also four water fountains, ensuring easy access regardless of where you decide to pitch your tent. Additional facilities include a water play area and animal feeding experience. There are also plans for fruit picking activities in the future. Do note that the campsite is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except during the summer peak season when it operates without breaks.
