Chopyeong Chestnut Tree Campground
There’s something incredibly tranquil about camping amidst a forest of chestnut trees. The Chopyeong Chestnut Tree Campground, located in Chopyeong, Jincheon County, in the province of North Chungcheong, offers just such an experience.
Reaching the Campground
From the Jincheon County Office, the campground is about 10 kilometers away. Drive along Munhwa-ro, Nongda-ri, and Peace Road to get there in approximately 20 minutes.
Experience the Chestnut Forest
This camping site is nestled within a large chestnut forest near the water’s edge. In the summertime, you can cool off with some water activities, and when the chestnuts are in season, you can have a delightful time picking them. The campground has 30 general camping sites prepared, with 3 covered in grass, 25 in crushed stone, and 2 in decks. Each site is spacious, measuring 7m by 8m. Also, the campground is pet-friendly, allowing even large dogs as long as they are well-managed.
