Nestled in the Geumsan Gorge under the magnificent Sobaeksan Mountain, the Biro Campsite is a tranquil getaway perfect for campers who love to immerse themselves in nature.
Introduction
The Biro Auto Park Campsite & Pension is located in Punggi-eup, Yeongju-si, Gyeongbuk. It is approximately 21 km from Yeongju City Hall, a journey of around 25 minutes by car, traveling along Gyeongbuk University Road, Jukryeong Road, and Samga Road. The campsite is situated at the start of the Sobaek Mountain hiking trail and the famously clear Geumsan Gorge. This location allows campers to enjoy a truly nature-friendly camping experience. Many visitors come here to enjoy hiking and water activities in addition to camping.
The campsite offers 53 general camping spots, all with crushed stone grounds and measuring 6m by 7m. It welcomes both trailers and caravans. Camping equipment including reel lines, fire pits, and sleeping bags can be borrowed from the management office. The campsite is closed annually from December to the following March.
With numerous famous tourist spots including Biro Temple, Biro Waterfall, and Sobaek Mountain nearby, the campsite is a great base for exploring Yeongju. There are also several restaurants in the direction of Heebangsa Station.
