Nestled on the large depth called Sogeumgangsan, at the foot of Mt. Deogyu in Muju, this campsite offers an unparalleled camping experience.
The campsite, which opened in September 2015, features gravel sites. Despite being a large-scale campsite, it is not crowded and provides ample space for a relaxed camping experience. The facility is well-maintained and equipped with amenities such as restrooms, showers, a water place, and a convenience store.
The campsite is located amidst pure nature, where you can hear the sound of the stream and the birds in the mountains. Plenty of trees provide cool shade, and the mountain breeze under them is refreshing. Throughout the year, beautiful flowers bloom in the area. Plus, the campsite owner grows chili peppers and lettuce in the campsite, so campers can pick and eat as much as they need.
Just a minute’s walk from the campsite is the Gucheondong Valley, where you can enjoy water activities and even catch fish. The water in the valley is so clear and transparent that you can see the bottom, providing a habitat for numerous fish and tadpoles. If you go further into the forest next to the valley, you can encounter rhinoceros beetles, stag beetles, and fireflies.
