To the left, we have Cheopbong or “Mistress Rock,” which seems to flirt playfully with Janggunbong. And on the right, we find Cheobong or “Wife Rock,” turning away from her husband.
Legend has it that these peaks symbolize the story of an angry wife who turned her back on her husband after he took a concubine to secure a male heir. This intriguing tale adds a layer of depth and intrigue to the already breathtaking natural landscape.

It is said that Jeong Do-jeon, a prominent political figure who played a vital role in the establishment of the Joseon dynasty, found solace and inspiration in Dodamsambong Peaks. In fact, he used the pen name “Sambong” in honor of this very place during his younger years.
