Legend of Seochulji Pond

According to the story, in the 10th year of King Soji, a crow and a mouse guided the king on his journey to Namsan Mountain. As they wandered around the pond, an old man emerged from the depths and handed the king an envelope. Acting on the message inside, the king’s servant shot an arrow at a nearby Geomungo case, revealing a plot against the king. This incredible tale is the origin of the name “Seochulji,” which means “writing from the pond.”

Once you arrive at Gyeongju Bus Terminal, make your way to the Bus Stop and catch Bus No. 11. Get off at Tongiljeon Bus Stop, and you’ll be just moments away from Seochulji Pond.
