Starfield Campground
Nestled in the middle of the Hwak River Valley, the Starfield Campground, known as 별천지야영장 in Korean, is a pristine haven for campers. Located in Gapyeong, a region renowned for its clear valley streams, this camping site has long been a resting place for people seeking the tranquility of the Hwak Valley.
The campground is strategically situated on both sides of the road. On one side, adjacent to the mountain, you’ll find the administrative office and bungalows. On the opposite side, right next to the valley, are the camping sites. While the lack of trees and thus shade, along with the somewhat outdated facilities like restrooms, showers, and washstands, may be a slight inconvenience, the location is perfect for enjoying water activities in the valley stream.
