Pebble Sea Camping Site: A Gem in Korea’s UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

Pebble Sea Camping Site
The Pebble Sea Camping Site, originally known as 몽돌바다캠핑장 in Korean, is a haven for nature enthusiasts. Located in the heart of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this campsite offers an unrivaled opportunity to explore Korea’s natural beauty and vibrant marine life.

An Overview of Pebble Sea Camping Site

The campsite is situated adjacent to the Pebble Beach in Shinseok-ri, Amtae-myeon, Sinan-gun, offering a stunning 500-meter exclusive beachfront. With a total area of 3,500 square meters, this beautiful sea campsite on the west coast comprises 26 general camping sites. The sites are arranged in a stairway fashion, allowing campers to enjoy a picturesque view of the beach. Each site boasts an individual garden light, an individual electrical outlet, and a built-in speaker, offering a VIP treatment to the campers.

Embracing the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

Pebble Sea Camping Site is nestled in the pristine natural environment of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Unlike other west coast beaches, Pebble Beach is not muddy, but clear and clean. On a sunny summer day, the sea water appears green due to its clarity. This pristine beach offers a variety of recreational activities, including fishing and mudflat experiences. There are 6-7 rocky fishing spots, home to a variety of fish species, such as black porgy, rockfish, flatfish, eel, and smelt. The mudflat experience allows you to catch pufferfish and crabs, providing an excellent educational experience for children.
