About Baemsa-gol Healing Campground
Baemsa-gol Healing Campground is a camping site located within Jirisan Mountain. Open since 1987, it has been a beloved destination for campers for over three decades. The campground is divided into two areas: Campground 1 operates on a first-come, first-served basis, while Campground 2 operates on a reservation basis. Recently, Campground 2 is referred to as Baemsa-gol Healing Campground, while Campground 1 is known as Baemsa-gol Auto Camping Site.
Interestingly, Baemsa-gol Healing Campground has more general camping sites than auto camping sites. Campers need to park their cars in a separate parking lot and carry their camping equipment for about 200~400m. Despite this, the campground is still a popular choice for many due to its affordable prices and stunning landscape. The daily usage fee is only 5,000 won during off-peak season and 7,000 won during peak season. Although parking fee is separate, it is still considered one of the most affordable in South Korea.
The campground is also recognized for its magnificent scenery, so much so that it was selected as one of the ‘Beautiful Paths of Our Country’. Especially during the autumn foliage season, one can witness the art of nature with their own eyes.
