Discover the Beauty of Hamheo Dongcheon Campground
Hamheo Dongcheon Campground, or as local campers like to call it, “The Mecca of Camping,” is a remarkable site that combines the tranquility of nature with the thrill of outdoor activities.
Location and Accessibility
The campground is situated in the Hwado-myeon region of Incheon Metropolitan City, Ganghwa County. A 40-minute drive from Ganghwa County Office towards the Dongmak Beach will lead you to this delightful getaway. Positioned on a ridge that extends to the east of Mt. Mani, the site boasts extraordinary landscapes and terrains.
What to Expect?
The campground is divided into four sections with a total of 200 campsites. It doesn’t have a vehicle entry path, so if you have a lot of gear, you’ll need to use a handcart. If you walk straight to the left after passing the management office, you’ll find Campsite 1. Going up the left road, you’ll encounter Campsite 2, while the right road leads to Campsites 3 and 4.
Campsite 1 operates under an internet reservation system and is the only site where electricity is available. Here, only charcoal braziers are allowed. On the other hand, Campsites 2, 3, and 4 can be used on the same day without reservation. You just need to arrive early, find an empty spot, and set up your tent. These campsites don’t allow the use of electricity, but they do permit the use of charcoal braziers.
