Traditional Korean Medicine Natural Recreation Forest (한방자연휴양림)
Immerse yourself in the wonders of Korean herbology and traditional medicine at this unique camping site.
Introduction
Spread over an area of 939.440㎡, the Traditional Korean Medicine Natural Recreation Forest can accommodate up to 160 people. The facilities are clean, comfortable and include a forest resort, forest houses, seminar rooms, cookery areas, and an outdoor swimming pool. This ensures a seamless and enjoyable experience for all, including children.
Within the recreational forest, you will find medicinal herb cultivation areas and Korean Angelica cultivation areas, making it an excellent natural learning environment. However, be prepared for a bit of a workout as the entire camping site is located on a hill. New campers are advised to stop by the management office first to pick up their keys before heading to their accommodation.
The main attractions of the Traditional Korean Medicine Natural Recreation Forest include the Heo Jun pilgrimage trail consisting of routes 1, 2 and 3, and the mountain medicinal herb cultivation area (which includes Korean Angelica, mugwort, mountain garlic, chives, and more) located within the site. From spring to fall, there’s plenty to see and do. Nearby attractions include Hwangmae Mountain, Gyeongho River, Namsa Yedam Village, Jeongchwi Hermitage, and Donguibogam Village, a traditional Korean medicine-themed health and tourism site complete with an herb exhibition and sales center. Every May, the village offers an array of attractions related to traditional medicine.
